M&A in the Age of Trump: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

S&C partners Frank Aquila and Melissa Sawyer will discuss M&A activity under the Trump Administration in an hour-long presentation organized by the Practising Law Institute on February 28th. Featuring a retrospective on the past 12 months, Frank and Melissa will offer a prospective look at how deal activity is likely to be affected in 2018 and beyond. Topics will include: What tax reform means for M&A activity, how cross-border deals are being affected by the Administration’s “America First” agenda, how the President’s Twitter commentary about M&A deals has impacted deal-making, the Administration’s unexpected antitrust posture and its implications, and how the “Trump Bump” impacted M&A levels in 2017 and whether we should expect more of the same in 2018.
