Tax Provisions Alter Deal Analysis but Won't Impede M&A

S&C partners Melissa Sawyer and Frank Aquila were quoted in a "Tax Notes Today" article following their presentation, "M&A in the Age of Trump," a webinar hosted by the Practising Law Institute on February 28th. "One of the big stories coming out of tax reform was the limitation on the deductibility of interest in leveraged transactions," noted Sawyer. Aquila weighed in on the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act as well, stating that the new regulation will be "dealt with on way or another, but doesn't impede transactions."
